Hi, I'm Mike Crawley ASIS FRPS and this is my new photography website mikecrawley.com. My whole life has revolved around duality and my photography is no exception. On the one hand I wear a commercial hat, where I sell my travel, nature and lifestyle images and services, and on the other hand I wear an artistic and creative hat, which is my passion. My two websites reflecting this are stock.mikecrawley.co.uk, which is about selling stock photography images, and photofrenetic.com, which I use for my more artistic endeavours, and has been around since the year 2000. However, when the .com domain name became available recently I bought it and this is the result. I've also recently acquired the new domain mikecrawley.photography. The website mikecrawley.co.uk, is a portal which links all these sites.
BACKGROUND I've had a long association with and a passion for photography for as long as I can remember. From processing films and printing prints in the bathroom of my student flat in Manchester to a life long career in the photographic industry with Kodak Ltd in Harrow. It was here that my passion grew and blossomed into an obsession, and my expertise as a photographer and printer was honed. Now retired from Kodak Ltd it was a natural progression to continue as a freelance photographer.

BENCHMARK ACHIEVEMENTS My first major photographic achievement was completing all the modules in the City & Guilds 9231 Photography course in 1988. Since then I have gained a Licentiateship (LRPS) and a Fellowship of the Royal Photographic Society (ASIS FRPS), been the President of the Kodak Photographic Society in Harrow, and been active in local, National and International salons, winning several medals and commendations. In more recent times I've had over 3250 stock images published in 47 countries across the world in books, magazines, newspapers and travel guides, written a book and had my art work published in several other books and magazines. Currently my main interest is in self publishing my work and have, so far, self published more than 56 photography books.
